Vacuum mattress is a full spine immobilization
device for multi-trauma patients with suspected spinal injuries. It is highly
useful when the patient needs immobilization for more than 1 hour. The vacuum
system allows soft and rigid immobilization, both useful on emergency transport
vehicles.
